This site collects as little as it can get away with, and none of it is sold, shared or used to follow you anywhere else.
Roberson Franze, a sole trader based in London, United Kingdom, is the data controller for this website. This notice explains what is collected, why, and what you can ask me to do about it.
The enquiry form
If you send an enquiry, the form transmits your name, your email address, the engagement you selected and your message. Nothing else. It is delivered to my inbox and stored there.
The lawful basis is legitimate interest — you contacted me about professional services and I need your details to reply. If a piece of work follows, the basis becomes performance of a contract.
Enquiries that do not lead to work are deleted within twelve months. Enquiries that do are retained for six years, which is the period UK tax and limitation rules require for business records.
Please do not send confidential information through this form. The NDA is signed before any substantive conversation, and everything that matters happens after it.
Visits to this site
There are no cookies on this site. Nothing is written to your browser's storage, no advertising or third-party tracking scripts are loaded, and no profile of you is built or bought.
A small first-party measurement request records that a page was viewed. It captures:

Your IP address is never stored. It is truncated at the point of receipt and combined with a salt that is discarded and regenerated every day, producing a value that cannot be reversed and cannot be linked across days. The result is aggregate counting, not identification.
Because nothing is stored on your device and no personal data is retained, this measurement falls outside the consent requirements of the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations. That is why there is no cookie banner interrupting you.
If we correspond by email, the message and its contents are stored in my inbox. Messages I send may include a first-party image that records whether the message was opened, which is ordinary practice in professional correspondence. If you would rather it did not, tell me and I will send you plain-text messages instead.
Who else sees any of this
The site is hosted on Amazon Web Services in the United Kingdom and Ireland, and email is delivered through AWS and Google. These providers process data on my instructions as data processors, under their standard terms.
Nothing is sold. Nothing is shared with advertisers. Nothing is passed to any third party for their own purposes.
What you can ask for
Under the UK GDPR you have the right to ask what I hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, to restrict or object to how it is used, and to receive it in a portable form. Write to me and I will respond within one month, without charge.
If you are not satisfied with how I handle it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
